The short version
CouchCertified uses only a small number of cookies — the functional ones needed to sign you in and keep the site working, plus privacy-respecting analytics so we can see what’s useful. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
What we use
- Functional (strictly necessary) cookies. These keep you signed in, remember your session as you move around, and make core features work. The site can’t do its job without them, so they’re always on. When you sign in to the learning platform at
learn.couchcertified.com, it sets its own functional session cookies for the same reason. - Analytics cookies. We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how the site is used and where to improve. This data isn’t used to identify you personally or to advertise to you.
We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies anytime in your browser settings, and most browsers let you control analytics cookies specifically. Blocking the functional cookies will break sign-in and some features, so those are the price of admission for a working account.
